Worst time to sell property
Autumn and winter are generally the worst times to sell property as there are few buyers willing to move during the approach to Christmas.
Other times to avoid selling property are when interest rates have been raised as this reduces the number of buyers looking for property.
However, even during the best times to sell property there are no guarantees that the local circumstances are best for you and your property. For example, if there is large scale building work in progress nearby or if your neighbours put their similar properties up for sale at the same time then this can hamper your sale or at least the price you are likely to achieve.
Exceptions
Selling a property is dependent on so many variables, that if you have a property in a desirable location and in good condition you should not be dissuaded from selling your home at any time of year.
